Over the past couple of years College Republicans has been increasingly active in the politics of both the city of Kirksville and the state of Missouri as a whole. In addition to this, the chapter enjoys serving the the local community through various means, as well as sometime simply having fun.

The Big Event 2015
On March 28, 2015, College Republicans members participated in the 14th Annual Big Event, a day where Truman State students volunteer at local sites around the Kirksville community. The event is put on by the Truman State SERVE center.
Michael Reagan Speaking Event
On April 2, 2015, College Republicans at TSU had the opportunity to host a speaking event featuring Michael Reagan, son of former President Ronald Reagan, on campus. This event created a lot of excitement, not only on campus, but also in the community of Kirksville. Here is a news story distributed by the local ABC affiliate regarding the event:
Michael Reagan speaks to the assembled crowd. Approximately 200 TSU students and Kirksville community members attended the event. Mr. Reagan spoke on several topics, including his childhood interactions with his father, his family’s experiences during the Reagan presidency, as well as his own personal life journey.

National Conservative Student Conference 2015
In July of 2015, the chapter sent two officers, Vice-Chair Addie Schmitz and Executive Director Duane Price, to Washington, D.C. to attend the National Conservative Student Conference, an event hosted by Young American’s Foundation.
Iowa GOP Growth & Opportunity Party 2015
21 Members of the College Republicans traveled to Des Moines, IA to mix and mingle with the current GOP presidential candidates. This was a great time for the members of our organization to network and build their political skills. All of this while getting some great pictures!!!
2016 Missouri GOP State Convention
Several CR’s were elected as delegates or alternates to the Missouri GOP State Convention in Branson, MO. They participated first-hand in the party selection process and made good use of their time networking.
